Azalea Budget Core Cards

Lets look at some Equipment choices first:

The Weapon we are going to be running is Death Dealer. This weapon brings a lot of value by being one of our many ways to load up our arsenal, and in specific Face Up. We do have quite a few cards that gain value from being put into arsenal face up. On top of that it also says draw a card, so it has to be good!

Gildewell Fins is a newer strong piece for ranger. This is another way to load our arsenal and again, face up. Cool thing here is that it’s going to also add +1 to the attack we put there and this is going to affect one of our main cards we’ll talk about more below called Bolt’n’ Shot. This piece also has Battleworn which is really good.

Blossom of Spring is another pretty good piece. As a Generic chest its going to be useful in a lot of budget or Project Blue lists. Getting 1 pitch value can always be important especially with a deck that has such a low curve.

And to round out the equipment suite of cards I think are very important for us is Honing Hood. Just a simple free way to load up our arsenal.

Now lets take a look at some important Cards for the core of our deck:

First card im going to mention is Bolt’n’ Shot. This is a very strong card for Ranger. 0 Cost with a decent base attack value. Since a large portion of our deck is going to be providing pumps to our attacks We’re going to be getting Go Again with this attack, and if we go tall enough, we can reload for free.

The Second card to talk about is Overflex. This is a 1 Cost Pump action that loads up our Arsenal. While it isnt a face up Load into arsenal, it gets us online and strong. I also like this card in the entire suite Red, Yellow and Blue. Even at the Blue version we get +2 which is okay, and I think is fine as the only blue we run in this deck just to get extra pitch value if we ever needed it. I dont like the 2 block value here, but this card bring us a lot of offensive pressure.

The third card is going to be Lace with Bloodrot. This is a strong pump spells that give us +3 and an on hit effect with some great consequences. It forces the opponent to pay three or take two at end of their turn with Bloodrot giving us more extension on our attack with consequences that need to be considered on the opponents turn.

Another great card for Ranger is Infecting Shot. This card comes with the On hit Blood Rot effect, so our normal pumps are a great target for this spell to extend our damage even further if we can go tall enough. I like using this card in the Red and Yellow versions, the blue version I think has just too low power to justify in the deck.

Here is a Current Decklist for Project Blue I have worked up
